They did not check our bags very well and I had to offer for them to even check them. Then we climbed two flights of stairs to cross a bridge then down the stairs to get to the park. You have to walk all the way through Dixie Landin' to get to Blue Bayou; amongst the very large crowd it was hard to find our way through to the water park. You also have to walk through the "designated smoking area bridge" to get to water park!! LONG line to get a locker so we decided against it so we had to carry our bags.

My daughter and her friend had their swimsuits on under their clothes but my 8 year old, myself and my mom needed to change. The massive amount of people near the locker area made it impossible to even find the bathroom only to find another LONG line! We were melting at this point.

We had my 8 year old change behind a towel that we held up and told the girls to get in the water at the kiddie pool area before they pass out. My clothes and body were wet with sweat so it was real hard to do; did I mention it was disgusting so you didn't want to put anything on floor so it was a balancing act. We finally got out of there and found the girls to head to the wave pool. The last time we went we waited an hour for a dang water slide and witnessed people passing out and being carried down the high staircase.

We just wanted to cool off in the water!! We had about 5 bags between all of us so we found a place near a fence to put them. We just stood under the waterfall mushroom to cool off while my youngest played on the kiddie slides. When we got to our table and the girls were thirsty. We waited 20 minutes to get tickets and another 20 minutes to get smoothies; which he ended up running out of the kind we wanted.

Got back to our table and the water park was closing in 5 minutes!! We again changed my youngest behind a towel; the older girls just dried off and put their clothes back on over their suits.

I had to use the bathroom so again, we had to wait in the LONG line. The girls went to find a spot for the concert which had a super LONG winding line. No one seemed to know where to stand; whether you had pre-purchased seats or were a season pass holder. We were neither and my daughter was smart enough to see the crowd of chaos, so they sat at a table near a cafe outside the concert gate. They didn't care to be too close they were not getting in the mob crowd. Plus it was safer for them and easier for me to keep an eye on them. My mom and I were taking my youngest to ride rides while the girls enjoyed the concert; which started over an hour late.

At this point, I was starting to get a bad headache and felt light headed. I sat down with all our bags while my mom took my daughter on 2 rides within an hour!! I had been texting my husband about the chaos and he was getting concerned for my health. I have high blood pressure and starting to dehydrate was a concern.

My mom finally came back but I was too weak to move so I just gave her my wallet and asked for water preferably but something liquid. It took her an hour to get back to me with a Sprite; they had sold out of water at the first place she tried and at the second one she just got what she could. My cup looked like it had been dipped in a pizza sauce on the rim and hers had black stuff floating in it I was NOT going to drink that so we headed back.

We had to ask the people in line if we could get another drink; I hated to cut because everyone was in the same situation but they understood. After showing them my cup they went somewhere else. I even had to find a manager to help me because the guy was being rude and yelled at me "Do you want me to just give you your 2 tickets back? We then allowed my daughter to ride 2 more rides before we decided to leave to try and beat the crowd.

My husband was supposed to go with me but after the last time we went he said never again. I only went because I had promised my daughter I'd take her to the concert and we always follow through. If they weren't gonna check our bags I would've brought bottled water The smoking in "non smoking" areas was ridiculous and having to cross the bridge of smoke to get to the water park side was ridiculous.

Both my mom and I have asthma and it is triggered by smoke. Due to leaving when we did, we did beat the crowd out which is the ONLY good thing about our trip. BAD traffic coming into Baton Rouge, and we got stuck in traffic leaving right before the bridge We live an hour away. Due to the LONG lines no one ate all day so we stopped once we crossed the bridge to grab a bite. I was worried about one of us getting sick due to the lack of sanitation in bathrooms and the pool water looking murky.

They clearly don't care who they hire to work there and customer service is NOT a priority. Looks like a lot of people drop their kids off like it's a babysitting facility for teenagers and kids. There were lots of PDA among young kids and adults that was just disgusting; even some young teenage boys sitting near me were repulsed by it and were commenting about how there were children around!

We couldn't get out of there fast enough. Our Favorite Trailers of the Week. My VHS archive. Alternative Sourcing. Use the HTML below. You must be a registered user to use the IMDb rating plugin.
